Our hotel is located in one of the most beautiful and multifaceted cultural landscapes in Germany and therefore, an ideal starting point for interesting discoveries of the area Rheingau as well as the upper "Middle Rhine UNESCO World Heritage Site". Our experienced guest guide, trained according to the guidelines of the Federal Association of guest guides, will accompany you on your excursions.
Your interests and available time, are the basis for individually planned tours in this diversified landscape and to impressive landmarks.

On request, we organise guided tours, excursions by bus, hiking tours, boat cruises, bicycle tours and much more. Our best tips are: Visits of monastery "Eberbach", castle "Johannisberg", castle "Vollrads" and the impressive Niederwald monument in Rüdesheim.

Especially recommended since it's in town: A tour through the small wine and cultural centre of Lorch with its' medieval alleys, archways, nooks and alcoves. Such a town tour should also include a visit of the widely known St. Martin parish church with its' 15th century carved altars. Climbing the old "stump" defensive tower should also be included.

And last but not least: Here in Lorch and its' surrounding areas, you're right in the middle of the former "Free State Bottleneck" (1919 – 1923). It's well worth learning something about its origins and history.
