St. Hildegard points the way

Half-day excursion: By train or car to the old town of Rüdesheim; take a short walking tour on the footpath "Hildegard of Bingen Trail" and visit to the Sanctuary in the Rüdesheim district of Eibingen with its Hildegard shrine. Then a visit to the Abbey of St. Hildegard in the Rüdesheim' district of Windeck; then return to Rüdesheim through the vineyards with a concluding stop in an estate tavern of a winery.

Day trip: Take the car ferry from Lorch to Niederheimbach, drive to Bingen or by car ferry from Rüdesheim to Bingen - one of Sankt Hildegard's creative domains.
Museum am Strom - exhibition of Hildegard von Bingen - the great mystic. Make a trip to the Rochuskapelle with a fantastic view of the Rheingau, then visit the Hildegard forum on the Rochusberg pathway through the gardens of the Sisters of the Cross (Hildegard herbs); you can stop here for a break.

Option: Trip to the Disibodenberg monastery, to explore the source of Hildegard's Work (approx. 1 h by car from Bingen).

Our estate bar at the Altenkirch winery will be happy to cater for your evening meal. Our chefs will spoil you in a historical ambience. The winery is a 20-minute walk away. Please note, that we're accepting cancellation in a written form free of charge up to 14 days prior to arrival.
Later cancellations or no-shows will be charged with 90% of the agreed package price. Minimum lenght of stay 2-3 nights on weekends (April to October).
