Our certified “Bett & Bike” hotel is located directly on the Rhine cycle path! This beautiful EuroVelo 15 long-distance cycle path, which is 1200 km long, has also been accessible continuously between Rüdesheim and Lorch since July 2023. The best conditions for your unforgettable bike tour through the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley!

Anyone who has ever been on the Rhine cycle path knows that euphoria immediately sets in. It's simply wonderful: the mighty Rhine flows on one side, the excursion steamers and cruise ships chug past you and the islands covered in green trees wave from the middle of the river. On the other side you can marvel at the pretty vineyards and the small wine-growing towns invite you to take a stop.

We are bike friendly hosts

Our hotel was chosen by the ADFC - General German Bicycle Club - as the outstanding bicycle-friendly hotel in the state of Hesse. “Bett+Bike” presents this special award and seal of quality from the ADFC together with the Hessen agency.

A very special highlight in the early morning is our energy breakfast, which gives cyclists and hikers strength for a sporty day's program. You put together your own packed lunches at the buffet.

As bike-friendly hosts, we are happy about the newly opened Rhine cycle path near Lorch am Rhein in July 2023 and include a free day for our rental bikes for everyone who doesn't have their own bike with them!

Bike rental

You can rent city bikes at our hotel. The multi-speed bikes are always well maintained by our bike partner Radl Mahl and are easy to ride with the easy-to-use gears.  We also have bicycle helmets (always freshly disinfected) available for you (free of charge)!  Since we only have a limited number available on site (in the hotel), we recommend making a reservation in advance.

Dinner
We are a bed and breakfast and offer a generous breakfast buffet. Our local restaurant partners will take care of your dinner. All establishments are within easy walking distance of the hotel. The cuisine is prepared with a love for the region. You can find a list of all nearby wineries and restaurants on our website here.

For the sake of our environment

As part of our cooperation with VIABONO, you can stay with us in a climate-friendly manner. The contribution of € 0.45/night/person goes towards an environmental project. In this way, you actively contribute to making our hotel a climate-friendly accommodation facility. 

Cancellation policy:

Please note that we only accept free cancellations of packages up to 14 days before arrival in writing. For short-term cancellations, partial cancellations (e.g. one night for stays lasting several days) and no-shows, we reserve the right to charge 90% of the agreed contractual service. Minimum stay of 2-3 nights on weekends April - October.

Tourism tax

Since July 1, 2021, the city of Lorch has been charging a tourism fee of € 2 per night/person (from 18 years of age) for trips for private and business reasons. The contribution is not part of the room price and is calculated upon arrival.
